I love working as an orthodontist because I can make a positive difference in the image and self-esteem of my patients. It allows me to build relationships with the wonderful people in my community, especially with my school-aged patients. I enjoy seeing them grow into healthy, happy, and successful young adults with beautiful smiles to show off!
Practicing orthodontics also allows me to create an environment within my orthodontic office that is fun, stress-free, and extremely rewarding. My team and I want each patient’s experience to be fun and positive. We even have a Wii for patients to play, and movies to watch in each room. We want our patients to be smiling when they leave our office!
Education and Continuing Education
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – Meharry Medical College, Nashville
- Orthodontic residency – Howard University, Washington, DC
Technology advances rapidly in the field of orthodontics, and I am committed to providing my patients with the very best care possible. I attend the annual American Association of Orthodontists meeting in order to gain exposure to the latest orthodontic procedures and products, and am currently the Nashville District Committee on the New Dentist representative.
I am an orthodontic dental consultant for Delta Dental of Tennessee, and previously worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Orthodontics at Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry.
Outside the Office
I am originally from Jackson, and currently reside in Nashville with my wife Tiffany and our two young children, Collin and Carly. I enjoy fishing for largemouth bass on Old Hickory Lake and J. Percy Priest Lake with my two brothers.
In addition, I love keeping up with my favorite football team, the Tennessee Titans. Of course, I enjoy watching movies as well as “CSI Miami” with my family.
